A Place to meet yourself among horses

My name is Marta Sikorska and Pasikonie is a small village on the edge of Kampinos National Park in Central Poland. This is where I live with my family and a small herd of horses. This is also a name of a NGO I run together with my partner Tomek Sadzewicz. Pasikonie promotes education on relation and communication science. We invite:

  • parents

  • families

  • education organizations

  • individuals offering psychological and therapeutic support

  • groups and individuals seeking growth around personal relations, personal leadership and reducing daily stress

  • organizations seeking solutions for leadership, internal relations, change management and preventing burnout

  • groups and individuals who are naturally drawn to animals

and individuals who wish to seek professional education in equine facilitated development

Life with horses

Pasikonie is like a state of mind grounded in herd dynamics: belonging, safety and sense of community.

Our horses live in a diverse and autonomic herd. They live free range on 3hectares of land. They are not locked, trained nor ridden. They decide about the use of feed, water and shelter. We base our relations on mutual trust and recognition of species-specific needs. We are learning to understand their language, to hear their requests and see what they say “YES” to when they say “NO” to us.

What do we do?

Since 2008 roku I’ve been offering different activities evolving around equine assisted learning. I was first introduced to EAL through Horse Assisted Education modality and Horse Dream model. I was trained as a facilitator of the modality by Horse Sense in 2007. I also graduated from a Polish based modality Open by Horses in 2012. Over the years I can say I developed a unique and non-affiliated workshop. I base my ethics on horse and human welfare related science. I’m now at the onset of cooperation with MiMer Center – an Equine-Human Education and Research Center.

On communication level I rely on Non-Violent Communication. I’m a long life practitioner and a certified mediator. I have my MA in cultural studies. I’ve completed professional education programs in trauma-informed approach and attachment theory. I’m also a doula.

I’m bringing you:
